Dana is bar far the best attorney that I have found after searching dozens of dozens to represent me. She told me the likely outcomes and even the worst scenario that would almost be impossible to happen to someone with a case as such as mine. I'm thankful there is someone out there like Dana because many of the other attorneys i had found in the portland area were very rude and didn't even care if they represented me or not. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Not really. It depends on the amount of time I estimate I will spend, and the going rate in Oregon for other attorneys. I try to charge less than others because I know what it feels like to be short on money...
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet new clients in person as soon as possible. After getting the basics via text, Thumbtack Messenger or phone, I will set up a time to meet either in Portland, Salem, or someplace convenient for the client--like a Starbucks. Or of course the jail. This meeting is free, and helps us both understand the work that lies ahead.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Juries Doctorate, PLUS an MA in English, which I think has helped me to become an excellent brief-writer. Plus many years working with young adults who may have addiction problems or who may have made a mistake that needs to be fixed....
