Introduction: I do CAD design services for residential and light commercial projects up to 4,000 square feet, including but not limited to single and multi-family, remodeling, additions, shops, pole barns and interior design. My portfolio also includes topographical elevation plotting, parking lot design and commercial tenant improvements. With the use of CAD software, I have completed over 600 custom projects that have all been approved by the local building and/or planning departments. I have worked for over 40 general contractors across the southern Oregon region, many at a regular basis. I work directly with the homeowner and builder to make changes and modifications to custom designs, and then deliver a full set of working plans ready to be submitted for the permit process. I work with the plan checkers in the building and planning departments and several structural and civil engineers as needed, to get the project completed and occupied. Throughout the construction process, I am always available for answers to questions and complications or changes that arise on-site. I have an extensive knowledge of the Oregon Residential Specialty Code and the Oregon Structural Specialty Code as well as the Oregon Fire Code and most other applicable publications. I have specialized in hillside building design and construction and lateral bracing techniques for both wind and seismic activity and have followed all of the code changes over the past 15-20 years.
