About
We provide detailed line item estimates on the spot for clients, we work with many programs like Energy Trust of Oregon, State of Oregon (Show Program), Forrest Grove Light and Power, McMinnville water and Light and Clark County PUD etc. We like to help our customers get available rebates to assist with their cost. We have the ability complete the process and install the work quickly and up to code.
Our approach to insulating is unique; we have a separate crew that specializes in each of the services that we provide so that we do your job right the first time. Even if you are outside of the Southwest Washington and Portland metro area, feel free to give us a call to see if we can assist with your insulation and weatherization needs. Why pay for someone to do a weatherization audit, we will do it at no cost to you. The fiberglass insulation we use is engineered to keep your home warm for years, without settling or falling apart. We offer incentives & rebates, when eligible, to assist with covering the cost of your job.
We really enjoy checking out the homes of clients to help them save money on energy bills and seeing all of the cool projects they have done inside and out.
We enjoy helping people stay warm in the Winter and cool in the Summer!

Northwest was great to work with for my insulation project. They didn’t try and upsell me on anything. The crew was punctual and did a good job cleaning up after the project was finished. I would hire them again.

These people are wonderful. Not only did they do the insulation they handled all the paperwork to get us the best price. The installers were so professional, they left the house spotless. They even discovered a water pipe leaking in the crawl space.

I'm finding many contractors right now are quite slow to respond. So Northwest Weaterization was a refreshing surprise! Kevin showed up at the house within days of our initial thumbtack contact, he had a quote ready for me in less than 2 hours and booked my attic insulation for me to be only 2 weeks out, not months. The insulation team of guys arrived today as anticipated with my paperwork to get an energy star rebate, got the work done within 3 hours, cleaned up and DONE... I'm looking forward to a much warmer winter indoors!

Kevin Taylor of Northwest Weatherization came out to our house, assessed the work that needed to be done in our attic and crawl space, and gave us a free estimate. I was happy to learn that it was just under half the estimate we received from another company. One of the factors was that Northwest Weatherization agreed to replace only those items that were necessary. In our case that was still quite a bit.
The estimate included a detailed itemization of all repairs and charges based on an initial inspection and the square feet. The work in the attic included baffles for ventilation, added insulation, disinfecting, and more. The work in the crawl space included the removal of the old insulation and vapor barrier, a new vapor barrier and insulation, duct replacements (for ducts damaged by critters), and new vent screens.
The team that did the work was very courteous, energetic, and took pride in their work. They worked from 9:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m., taking only one break for lunch, and never once complained. After they completed the work they cleaned up the few bits of insulation that managed to escape the drop cloths.
At one point a plastic water pipe connector broke, and they had to call a plumber to replace it. Northwest Weatherization assumed the cost for the repair rather than charging us. The final cost was exactly as stated in the estimate.
Everything from the estimate to the completed work was done with honesty and integrity. We are very satisfied with the work they did on our house and would definitely recommend Northwest Weatherization for attic insulation and crawl space work.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Each job is different and pricing will vary depending on the job needs. The bid you receive will list out the charges for your job(s). Some customers have certain specifics they want and our tech's can alter the bid to specifications requested. Ask our tech about the current discounts we are running when they come out to provide your free estimate. We give free estimates, no obligation quotes. Our tech's are very honest and will not try to sell you unnecessary updates when they aren't needed, they will let you know when you do not need work.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will schedule a time for a tech to come out and take a look at the site. We will then provide the customer with a free estimate of what our technician thinks needs to be done, the customer can decide from there if they want the work done. Once the customer wants to move forward with the bid we will work with the customer on when they would like the work scheduled to be completed. Then our crew will go out and complete the work signed for on the scheduled time. We guarantee our work.
