- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My first step is introducing myself and building a little bit of rapport. You are a person, not a number! Then I usually try to determine exactly what you are looking to get done. I attempt to optimize the process and make recommendations if I think they are needed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am not formally a PC technician, but have been tinkering with computers since I was a little kid. I am actually a Registered Nurse in both PA and MA, but do not currently practice. I run a antique and collectible book business online full time.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started out just helping friends and family and quickly became the go to person for any issues that anybody had. I saw a need and was fed up with the horror stories I kept hearing of commercial repair shops taking advantage and overcharging people. My solution was fixing computers and doing odd jobs on the side. Thumbtack helped in broadening my clientele.
