As someone who has had many massages I can truthfully state that I have never experienced such an incredibly relaxing and thorough massage. Sam is an exceptionally gifted professional. I have already scheduled the second of what I intend to be many more sessions.

Sam helped with my muscle strain last week, and I've been feeling better everyday since! When we first met, he listened to what my issue was and took notes. I wasn't that nervious even though I had never had a massage before; he's very welcoming. Sam was also very understanding when I got lost finding the place since it was my first time into the city. He met me outside and walked me in without a problem. The whole experience was calming, with the lighting, music and peaceful aroma. Would certainly recommend to a friend or coworker!

Jackie, it's great to hear that you're feeling better. Thanks for the nice review, and for noticing the "peaceful aroma." When I learned you were driving back and forth past the place I figured you might be a little stressed, so I sprayed some lavender oil. I guess it helped!

Sam is attentive and will focus on your specified needs if you let him know what they are. He also will consistently apply the amount of pressure that you're comfortable with. I got a general massage from him, focusing on my shoulder areas from years of pain with rotator cuff tendinitis. Afterward I felt great, and would definitely recommend his services!

Thank you, Lauralee. I'm glad I could help!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
National Massage Therapy Institute, certified in Therapeutic Massage with a concentration in Sports Massage and Muscle Performance Therapies. Continuing education, including Neuromuscular Therapy. Pennsylvania requires continuing education classes to maintain a therapist's license; this is expected of every LMT. In addition, I'm always reading or attending webinars about assessment and massage techniques. Surprise me in my office and there's a good chance you find me studying. It's not just necessary; I enjoy it.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I'm amazed at how many people say "neck, shoulders, upper back" when I ask where it hurts. There's something about our daily habits these days -- maybe it's our technology -- that makes many of us hurt in similar ways. I've helped a lot of people with that lately. It's one example of pain management for which massage is an ideal theraputic approach.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I wish that people knew the study a LMT must do to earn and maintain a license. Anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, ethics, and safety are all important to the profession. I take these subjects seriously, and I hope to continue to deepen my understanding of the body and its workings, to always find better ways to improve my client's wellbeing.
