Recently while visiting the Philadelphia area with my terrier, we found the "pet friendly" hotel hosting our accommodations to be less than friendly, in need of updating, and not very clean. Although I was able to quickly find better accommodations at a hotel nearby, my search to find a kennel was pretty much useless. I found several pet sitter services in the area, many of which advertised emergency services. I called a few. When I got no answer, I expanded my search and found Sitters4Critters in Morrisville. Their positive reviews stood out, so I gave them a call. I was relieved to be speaking with a live person - Christine. Without hesitation she let me know that they could help me and my little guy would be in good hands. The drive to Morrisville wasn't as far as I initially thought. They were located right off I95. The drop off was a breeze. My little guy, Bentley, has pretty bad separation anxiety, but Christine knew exactly what to do. I felt comfortable leaving him. I checked on him over the next few days. He was definitely in good care. Picking him up was just as easy. Although he greeted me with the usual enthusiasm, I could tell he made a new friend with Christine. Lastly, I must mention, the price was reasonable. The next time I find myself staying in the Philly area with my "road dog," I will definitely use Sitters4Critters.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Dog walking is based on per calendar month. The more visits you have scheduled, the greater the discount. We service many military and flight attendants but any civilian are entitled to to the following pricing structure: 1-4 visits / walks. $20 per visit 5-9 visits / walks $19 visit 10-14 visits / walks $18 visit 15-19 visits / walks $17 visit 20+ visits / walks $16 visit Hourly retainers $25 / hour Dog Boarding $35 / night $15 extra dog Cat Bording $25 / night $5 extra cat Other small animals / reptiles $20 night
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Every day is another challenge and learning experience. Yearly we attend conferences and pet tech CPR classes.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always had a passion for animals and it is a great stress relief spending time with animals. So with that, I will give the love, care, and attention they deserve.
