About

Providing high quality and individualized curriculum for students. My flute students won numerous international competitions. We are providing studying materials at no cost to language students. Teaching is my passion. I have taught for over thirty years. During difficult times of COVID-19, I am offering discounts through my online studio. Recordings of each session could be provided to each student to simplify the learning process. I am expanding my business and now have a foreign tutoring and translation services led by my son David, who is a graduate of Penn State University and Middlebury Summer Full Immersion program with the focus on German Language. David speaks German, Japanese, French, and Italian. He is currently studying Chinese (Mandarin), Arabic (MSA), and Spanish. My 11 year old has been working with Michael for the past year. She’s not so thrilled with taking lessons outside of school, but she is doing so much better than her peers at school. Her teacher at school is impressed with the knowledge and skills she has obtained through working with Michael. He has been very good with helping her find pieces that she wants to play, which really helps with her willingness to practice. He really explains the music theory in terms that an 11 year old can understand. He is so patient and kind during their lessons, which I appreciate because my daughter can have her “moments”. He’s very knowledgeable and helped us to purchase a flute 6 months ago at a very good price. He was also helpful with finding a good quality repair shop to service her flute. You can’t go wrong when choosing to work with Michael - he’s great!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I switched to the online education. I am teaching my students using FaceTime, Skype or GoToMeeting platforms. Families of first responders will get 2 month free lessons (one weekly session). For others 50% of my lessons fee will be donated to the charity of your choice.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The most important part of the educational process is to correctly evaluate the student; access the realistic expectations and capabilities of the student, build an educational plan based on these findings.
