These guys are absolutely excellent.
They moved us on the hottest day of the summer (August 17th) and they couldn't have been more efficient, good-natured, careful and hard working.
When I booked the move with Jay, I gave him a rundown of all of the stuff we had, number of rooms etc. His estimate of how long it would take them to move us ended up being exactly right. I thought that their price was very reasonable and completely worth it.
They were prompt, have their own truck and brought all materials necessary. Nothing was scratched, bumped or dropped. The house that they moved us into is three stories with no air conditioning, but it didn't slow them down a bit. We have some really cumbersome pieces of furniture that needed to be taken apart and put back together. They did it meticulously and quickly.
I highly recommend Specialized Moving Services - they will be easy and pleasant to work with and will do an fantastic job.

Jay was very easy to get in contact with and he brought a crew of professional movers who did the job quickky and efficiently. (Moved 1,000lb hot tub from front of the house and recessed it into a deck in the back of the house)

I had been calling around to get some emergency movers as my lease was expiring. On top of that, I was out of the country and couldn't be there for the move myself. Jay offered his help and everything went smoothly. Nothing was packed (1-bed apt.) and they had everything done within a few hours and moved into storage. The guy at the storage facility described the team as "very professional".
I would definitely recommend these guys at any time.

From the request for proposal process which was seamless, to the response process from Jay (owner) which was quick and efficient and he followed up on my additional questions way after "work hours" this company is a huge find for us. The movers came today and my fiance was so impressed with their efficiency and professionalism. They were strategic so they could move quickly without being careless. The job got done under the time estimated and we will be using them in the next few months for when we have to do another move...funny I discovered Thumbtack because when I called "2 Men and a Truck" I got a voicemail that just kept saying "mailbox is full, mailbox is full"...I Googled Pittsburgh movers, got Thumbtack, and within 2 hours had the mover I wanted and then follow up I needed...and in less than a week the whole deed is done. This was an exceptional service to execution model from Thumbtack to Specialized Moving Services. Way to go both!
