Would definitely recommend J&Y Masonry to anyone looking for masonry projects. Jaime was very responsive which was refresshing. He started about 4 days later, the day he said he would and arrived on time. We are very happy with the project which was a 30" high x 36" wide x 6" deep retaining wall in our backyard. The concrete wall we had and were planning on building a deck over was failing, so we had to have it replaced prior to the deck installation. The only thing we didn't like was that we were charged $100 extra for removing the old wall. My husband had texted prior to the start of work that all debris was to be removed. There may have been a language barrier and misunderstanding, so be very clear prior to the start of work that everyone understands and us on the same page. We also assumed the wall would have been poured concrete, like the old was was, but it was built of concrete block. We understand that it is easier, especially in the city, to build our of block that pouring concrete. we just wish we understoodprior to the start. This would not disuade me from hring Jamie Miguel again. Jaime was fantastic!

I needed a small job done- remove 3 rows of brick so a TV could fit above the fireplace. They were quick to respond, punctual for the assessment and work, got the job done quickly, and it looks incredible. They even took the time to touch up the mortar and reinstall the mantle. I would absolutely work with them again if I needed any masonry. Highly recommend.
