- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My basic tutoring fee is $40.00 per hour with a minimum of 2 hours per tutoring session. If the student is 12 or younger I will only tutor for 1 or 1-1/2 hours at a time. If the student is in or contemplating joining the military I reduce the tutoring fee to $25.00 per hour.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I purchase several textbooks a year on different subjects to see what schools are teaching in mathematics. Unfortunately they are trying to teach algebra, trig, and geometry as a single course called integrated math and the students never get enough time to absorb the concepts to get a deep understanding of each course.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was always good at math and through out my school years other students would seek me out for assistance in solving problems.
