Introduction: In addition to expert piano tuning, we have done repair, regulation & restoration of pianos, player pianos, harpsichords, clavichords & pump organs since 1972. We have a craftsman attitude and craftsman level skills. We love seeing a job done right, an instrument that was silent or sputtering making clear music again. We love it when people are excited to have an old friend back in first rate condition.

Needing to hire a new piano tuner and technician for the quality instrument in my church sanctuary, I wanted to make a wise decision in who I chose to take on that role. In my initial phone call with Nathaniel, I was immediately set at ease with his apparent knowledge and expertise, and that feeling was affirmed at the first tuning visit. Nathaniel took the time to examine the instrument, a 7' Schimmel, as well as to review and address one of the concerns that I have with the current condition of the instrument. Furthermore, an official written assessment and estimate was sent to me very quickly (just 2 business days later!) regarding the re-regulation and reconditioning work that is recommended. And, by the way, I am well satisfied with the tuning.

As a former employee I saw first hand the quality of work that Nathaniel Everett and Joe Osborne achieve. Both are excellent technicians and have an eye for detail. I personally worked with Nathaniel daily, watching him strive to be timely for his customers and complete the job to a high standard. Joe and Nathaniel are constantly trying to push their standard higher to achieve clean consistent work, keeping their customers' needs in forefront of thought. It was a great atmosphere to work in and my only regret is not being able to continue working with this excellent company. Andrew

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our first contact is most often via telephone or email. We usually need to ask questions before providing a guess at what work might be needed or the possible cost.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Joe: Forty years experience tuning & restoring keyboard instruments. Past president of the local Technicians' Guild chapter. Nat: Three years apprenticeship and two years as a partner. Nat is a certified luthier, having completed his training at The Chimneys Violin Shop.
