FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I provide free estimates/quotes. I do my best to include all expenses in my quotes, including drawings, permits and removal of all job debris, along with all materials and labor. This eliminates any "surprises" at the end of the job. Obviously, when doing any type of renovation work, there is no way to know about hidden damage until it gets uncovered. At this point, no repairs will be made until we discuss what needs to be done and the extra cost involved and a changed order is signed.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After the initial contact on Thumbtack, usually a phone conversation is next before we set an appointment for a face to face meeting. At this meeting, we will discuss your project...what you are looking to do, what materials you would like, location/configuration of your project... I will then take measurements and some pictures. This information will be used to generate a quote for your project. Depending on the size and scope of the project, I will either set up a second appointment to review the quote, or I will email it to you. Once the quote is accepted and signed, your project will be put on the schedule. If a permit is required, submission of the permit application will be the next step. Once the permit is obtained, then your project will be put on the schedule.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My father was in the business and I have been doing it since I was 10. I had a knack for it and my father nurtured it.
