About
Hi My name is Lynda Smith. I can and would love to help you with your precious pup! I am a behavioral specialist as well as a positive reinforcement dog trainer and experienced in working with all breeds of dogs. I have also worked with many rescues as well. I have been training and competing dogs for 45+ years. I have put many titles on my dogs and have taught many classes. I work with first time dog owners on a regular basis with basic obedience training and help to pick out suitable toys, treats, supplies, dog food, etc. I help many folks with potty and crate training and obedience training for their puppy. I do basic training which includes but is not limited to learning to walk properly on a leash in heal position without pulling and sitting when you stop walking. I also teach basic commands such as sit, down, stay, shake, high-5 and coming when called. I also work with dogs that have gotten in the bad habit of jumping on you or other people or biting the hand or clothes, excessively barking and dogs that have aggression and reactivity issues, not releasing an item once they get a hold of it, prey drive issues, resource guarding, etc. I do have private sessions located at my facility in Coatesville, Pa. I am happy to travel to your private home or training facility for private or group sessions as well. If I travel the rate is then determined by where I am traveling to and how many dogs would be in each training session. I have had excellent results and I am sure that you will see improvement after our first session. What are your goals in training? Please feel free to message, text or call me. I am looking forward to helping you with your pup in any way that I can!🙂

Winston came to me at age 7, is now 8. I struggled for a year to acclimate an anxiety-ridden, neurotic dog with no known history. Within two days, Linda had the dog and I working together, walking, doing sit, stand, stay, etc. I am becoming the alpha, which I never would have believed possible. Our walks are calm and enjoyable, and Winston now loves going out (he used to be afraid of the loud noises from target ranges, etc.) No more peeing in the house, and we both sleep through the night. We are now working on the crate as well, as Winston has severe separation anxiety. That is starting to get better as well. I recommend Lynda highly, especially if you have a somewhat difficult dog.

We needed someone to help modify our nervous dog’s tendencies which were being adopted by our new puppy. Lynda helped establish foundational training for both our pups as well as us. Each session built on the last while Lynda explained what responses we should be looking for when we practice in between her sessions. Would definitely recommend Lynda for anyone looking for help with their dogs.

Lynda really understands what dogs need in order to be trained properly. A lot of the training is actually training you, the human, to correctly work with the dog(s). The dogs are quick to understand and respond once you learn the correct way to command and give directions. Make sure you have lots of tiny bite sized treats ready when training. You'll run out quicker than expected!
