Tim has been awesome to work with—really easygoing, patient, and just fun to learn from. I’ve honestly noticed a big difference in my playing since I started. The best part is that everything we go over in lessons is something I can use right away, whether I'm practicing at home or trying to learn a new song I like. I always leave each session feeling a little more confident and excited to pick up my guitar again. I tried music lessons less for my boys with a local teacher before I found Tim. This person was rigid and impersonal. In a one-on-one, in-person guitarlesson, he used a laser pointer during instruction. And any music my boys had the option of playing was predetermined. I pulled them after one lesson. It felt like an extension of school.
I decided to try remote to open up my options and get more flexibility as a single parent—with remote learning I wouldn’t have to drive them to lessons. But as someone who had music lessons growing up before the internet, I was skeptical remote learning would work.
With Tim, it absolutely worked. He’s a music genius who literally can play just about any instrument. He’s been teaching one of my sons guitar and the other drums for just over a year now. He speaks their language and from the onset, he met them where they are. He asked what music they liked and immediately started working on helping them master songs to which they felt a connection, all while infusing lessons with technique, theory, and fun. I’m blown away at the progress my boys have made in this short amount of time—they’re playing music they love, and Tim’s teaching them to play together.
Tim is knowledgeable, flexible, enthusiastic and affordable. I’m amazed at how much he’s taught my boys from the other side of the country, right through an iphone. I’m just waiting to find a hole in my busy schedule so I can start taking lessons from Tim, too!

TIM! I cannot say enough good things about him! I am so happy with what I've been learning and how I am learning it! Tim really understood my roadblocks and developed a super useful strategy to help me get unstuck. He is so knowledgeable and great at breaking down difficult concepts to where there's HOPE to actually do them!
I also have to give a shoutout to everything Tim does for students like me- he writes out the tabs for what we went over in the lesson and gives me a lot of bonus content I can work on throughout the week. I just feel that I get so much out of these lessons and I am so grateful I found Tim! Thank you Tim for everything!!! I'm so happy I can learn from you :)

Our daughter has been taking guitarlessons for well over a year with Tim and we could not be happier with the decision we made. Let me start by saying my daughter is 13 and very shy, so not all teachers have the qualities needed to pull a child out of their comfort zone and give them confidence. However, Tim has such a kind, patient and professional manner that he is easily able to find that spark your student needs to feel comfortable when learning something new and unfamiliar. We do virtual now due to covid and he is always accommodating to our crazy schedule and never ends a lesson because time is up. I will hear my daughter now jamming out to her favorite songs she has learned along with Tim and he always stays in the lesson until the student is complete and comfortable with where they are leaving off. Our daughter has come so far and for a lot of the year virtually due to covid and that is not something ever teacher could do so flawlessly, especially with an instrument. This app only allows you to pick 3 values above from 5, but if I was able to choose all five....work quality, professionalism, value, punctuality and responsiveness I would have picked all 5.

Tim has been an awesome guitar teacher for our son for the past two years, and he's begun teaching our daughter keyboard recently. He's very detail oriented and he takes the time to plan his lessons carefully according to both our son's and daughter's needs. He's a true professional who cares about his students. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My lesson rate is a $50 for a one hour lesson. $40 for a 45 minute lesson. $30 for a half hour. Recommended one lesson weekly or one hour every other week.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically I evaluate their level and teach them accordingly. Students also have a say in what gets learned (songs, technique they want, styles etc.)
