Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Most common are decks, fencing, retaining walls, kitchen and bath remodels and a lot of whole house remodels. We've renovated approximately 30 single family homes in the south side of Pittsburgh alone.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. We will provide experience and knowledge in completing your project in a timely, professional yet affordable manner. No 2 projects rarely have the same set of circumstances start to finish, especially when working with an existing structure. Overcoming the adversities and challenges to make every projects outcome professional and lasting is what we bring to the table and we'd expect that you'd prefer that as well. We are able with the experience and knowledge to be able to suggest products or outcomes that will tailor to most every budget and or requirement you might present!

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. When I actually hire you, are you going to honor the quote or at least be within a reason of the figures you presented me initially upon handing me that final invoice for payment? (Some hidden things might occur but being upfront & reasonable when they do is all you can ask for in some circumstances)

Do you, yourself participate and/or supervise regularly in making sure the projects outcome is quality or do you just let a bunch of uneducated, unprofessional idiots wing there way thru our project until its completed in some manner that looks satisfactory?

Do you and your team members work daily at the project until it's completed in a satisfactory, professional, and timely workman like manner?

Are your results professional? Even if an adverse condition might occur?

Are you licensed and insured?
And what kind of warranty can you offer me that your workmanship will hold up?

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Personally I like the great friends I've made over the years since I've been in business and second I love a challenge, the more I need to think at it, to get it done properly, the more satisfaction I feel upon it's completion!

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. That I'm honest, very hardworking, intelligent, true to my word, that I and my team will work with you as best as anyone can, and that the end result will be something that both you, my team and I will be proud of for years to come. Your neighbors and friends will probably be asking who did this for you and we want you to have no reserves in answering that question.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. Vocational school way, way, way, back when was the start...then a few years or trial and error in other fields gaining some worldly experience that helps me even to this day then back again to construction & services as a working apprentice with some of the area's premier professionals as my teacher and mentor!

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. I can't honestly say where, when or which project in particular that might be most proud of, because every project has it's own unique way of being a standout in some form or fashion. As an experienced professional there are things in almost everything we've done, that could be done with a touch, to add a bit of personality to make it shine. We honestly always go the extra mile in almost every occasion to ascertain that happens, even in something as simple as installing a faucet or hot water tank we make our professionalism shine above all.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. Education has been a full time, every day, thing for me for the past 48 years of my life. I most recently became DCSE(Dell Certified Service Engineer) certified in computer repairs and programming along with a certification as a Home theater installation specialist. I regularly do research for new products for use in the residential construction industry as well. In this field we handle are are certified pex plumbing installers, DekDrain installers, and handle several other specialty product lines on a regular basis.
