I have been pet sitting and house sitting for many years now. My love of animals is why I do this job. I treat them as my own which is with a lot of love and attention. I do whatever is necessary, like scooping up waste, brushing them, snuggling with them, feeding them, but most importantly I am able to medicate and give insulin shots. I am also capable of getting a sick animal in my charge to the Vet's office if necessary. I will do whatever is necessary to keep them safe and happy while their "people" are away from them. My main goal is to keep my pets from having separation anxiety. I have been very good at keeping that from happening.
I love being able to love them when I am there. I "need" and "crave " their affection. It is what makes me tick, and happily so. You have to love the experience!
What I offer is taking the pet(s) on long walks, play time, but most importantly I give them all the love and affection they can possible ask for, and I love every minute of it. My business (Peggy's Pet Care) is house sitting and pet sitting. I no longer take on dog walking jobs as it keeps me from taking on a house or pet sitting jobs which is my specialty.

We have 3 Yorkies (2 with special needs) and Peggy kept them safe, happy and loved in our home during our vacation. We would recommend Peggy for pet/housesitting and intend to use her services again.

Peggy walked into a very unique situation when she stayed at our house to pet sit for our 4 cats, 2 dogs and amazon parrot for a week. One of our dogs has seizures and is very "high maintenance", and taking care of him in addition to the other animals can be a lot of work as they all have their own unique needs. Words cannot express the incredible job she did not only taking care of our fur babies but also looking after our house. When we arrived home it was as if we never left. She is an extremely caring, conscientious, and trustworthy pet care provider. I highly recommend her services!!!

I must admit that taking care of so many pets at the same time was challenging, but doable once you got a system down.
Your fur babies are a joy to take care of I must say. Rio, the Amazon Parrot was adorable. He was my first parrot that I took care of. He was really cool and I enjoyed trying to teach him to talk to me.
The cats and dogs were awesome. Each one had its own personality which I found fascinating. Zues, your European German Shepherd was fun. As large as he was he kept trying to be a lap dog! He was/is very persistent but I loved it. I was so happy that he was seizure free while I was taking care of him. Fortunately for me the medicine he was on kept the seizures at bay. It would have broken my heart to witness his suffering.
Your home is lovely and I enjoyed staying there and taking care of your fur babies. Thank you also for rehiring me a second time. It was great to see all of them again as you do get attached to them, especially when you are there for a full week. I really enjoyed taking care of them and your home while you were away.

Peggy is MOST EXCELLENT! We couldn't be happier. She "lived in" our home for ten days and took care of our two golden doodles while we vacationed. Our boys and our home couldn't have been better taken care of. When we returned the house and guys were spotless and I know they hated to see her go.
Peggy is detail oriented and carried our wishes to a tee. She is not afraid to contact you if there are questions but is not bothersome by any means.
I would highly recommend Peggy's services to anyone. Her caring, loving demeanor just beams from her.

Peggy and Rick did a great job taking care of our 2 cats and 3 kittens. They cared for them like they were their own. It definitely gave us piece of mind as it was our first time using a pet sitter.

Peggy was absolutely amazing with my teacup Yorkie Rocky! She went beyond expectations! She watched Rocky multiple times and even kept him over night at her house for a few days. She always made sure that Rocky was happy and that he had plenty of time to play and run around. Took him on long walks, bought him treats and even got him some new toys! I could tell that my dog adored her and he was always so excited to see her! I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a pet sitter!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing system is not difficult. I charge one price to walk one dog, and a bit more for two dogs at one time. I charge more for overnight stays, but feel as though I am very reasonable, in fact, I am too reasonable, as I am worth more than I am charging, but am trying to be fair, but still make a fare wage for my services. I stay competitive with the other pet sitters out there and get the assignments. The more experience I get, the better and easier it is to get more positions.
My pricing for kitty cats is lower than it is for dogs as I don't have to walk them, which is great, especially in bad weather! Again, it is one rate if I am just visiting them a couple of times a day, and a higher rate if I stay overnight.
Dispensing medication(s) is a separate rate pending on the procedure(s).
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It starts out with the potential customer asking me all kinds of questions. When they are finished I ask them about their method of training for their dog so that I can do the same as they do. I do not want to confuse the dog by giving him or her the wrong commands. I find out what their favorite toy is, what they like to do best and then I make every effort to keep things on track. I do what the customer asks of me and more.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
None, but I have over 50 years of experience with many different types of animals that I have had growing up, mostly dogs, but we had a bunny, a pussycat, and even some pigeons who were frozen from a very bad snow storm. My experience is wide ranged.
I took care of my neighbors pets (and still do) while I was growing up. Animals seem to be drawn to me. I have not had one single bad experience with a dog or a cat yet.
I may consider going to school to learn how to train pets so I have more to offer at the table, but have not done so to date.
