I am giving Performance Roofing an average rating. We contracted with Angelo to perform a roof inspection about 2 weeks ago. He told my wife and followed up with me with an invoice stating that the roofing nails needed to be sealed. I sent him a message using Thumbtack to say we would like him to complete the work. I did not hear back from him for a few days which was fine...but then I receive a text on Friday saying I am in your area and will be there shortly to complete the job. He was there within 30 minutes of that text. I would have preferred a scheduled time based on my work schedule but I wanted it done so I agreed. I did not realize that putting sealant on about 88 nails would require a cost of $490 (including the roof inspection). The service as per our cameras since I was not there to see him on Friday resulted in about 15 minutes of work. I think the pricing is high. When I got home on Friday, about an hour after he left (per cameras) I was working in the garage and he comes pulling up to collect his money. I wrote him a check and he left. He comes back 20 minutes later saying I need another check, the check you gave me flew out of my visor in the truck and flew out the window. I wrote him another check this time...I was questioning the incident but I had somethings to do and just wanted to be done with his services. Though he is friendly, the business seems to be run like a after thought style of business. Meaning invoicing isn't ready when payment is required, you must ask for invoices, scheduling is done on his schedule not really on yours. I also think and it could be my ignorance to the business but I feel like the prices were overly high. The roof inspection took about 30 minutes and the sealing of the nail heads took about 15 minutes....$490.00 for 45 minutes of work with a tube of sealant that costs about $10.00 seems to be pricey. Again maybe its just my ignorance to the profession but when my neighbors asked how much that was they said I was crazy. So maybe its not just me.

After we paid them we saw somethings they hadn't done right or missed. They had said they would be using plywood but they used flake board and the roof was done before we noticed. They DID come back and finished things that they hadn't done right.
