Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: First and foremost, my goal is to identify and define the owner's objectives and create a plan to meet them. My focus is on creating a calm steady relationship with the human in the alpha status. Ultimately I wish to achieve clear communication between the horse and owner. Allowing a steady relationship and successful achievement of goals. The owner gains the ability to address horse issues on their own, and engage in any given horse activity with confidence in the outcome. The very best part of my job is taking a horse that is on the verge of being useless and turning them around. Giving them a job, a life, and a purpose they can do and understand. At the same time, giving the owner the answer they have been seeking and the tools to fix their own problems.

Valerie Gray is a true professional. She makes you believe that you and your horse can do anything. I had spent lots of time on my horse. Valerie took what Ally and I had learned together and helped us refine it. This summer I rode Ally. I had never thought this would happen but it did. Ally and I will be forever grateful to Valerie for her patience and knowledge.

Thanks Linda, you and Ally have put in so much time and effort together, seeing you sitting on her is a memory I'll treasure always.

I had a large obnoxious horse that I was scared to even lead. Today, I have a gentle giant that is my best friend. I can even ride him bareback now. A huge THANK YOU to Valerie and Grey Day Training for helping me and my horse become our best selves. -Tiff & Amos

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Standard rate is $40/hour. If I am travelling to you and the distance is more than 20 miles, there may be a mileage charge.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

When meeting a new person or horse, I always start by assessing the level of knowledge or training already in place. Once I have a good idea of the current status, I tailor the education and training provided to the needs and goals of each individual.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

    A. Look for trainers who prefer to share their methods with you and teach you along with your horse. B. Ask the trainer what type of tools and environment they use in training?
