FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge half day or a full day on small jobs. Even if it only takes 1 hour. Larger jobs I will come out for an estimate (ranging north of a couple days).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to speak over the phone and gauge the scope of work. I like to talk about a ball park price quickly to gauge the sincerity of the customer and to see if we are on the same page to proceed. And finally, expected start dates.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As far as business ownership and professionalism; bachelors of science from Penn State main campus. As far as my trade; 4 years a remodeling carpenter, 1 year in commercial property maintenance, 2 years as a trim carpenter and assistant project manager. I've also completely remodeled my current house to CODE with inspection. I did ALL the demolition, framing, roofing, siding, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, drywall (except finishing), painting, trimwork, cabinetry, appliance installation, etc.
