- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I lived in Sarasota Florida and my little boy was too I was a single mother and I went to school full time. I clean vacation rentals for local company to make ends meet while I worked my way through school. If you fast forward a graduated I got a job life seem to be on track, and my son got sick. Being a single mother and being 1200 miles from my family I did not have this important or luxury of friends and family to help me with my son. Ultimately I ended up missing a lot of work to be with him care for him. I showed up at the office one day my boss who was wonderful and for me if I missed any more work I would be terminated. I quit my job on the spot. Never again would I allow anyone to have the ability to take away my livelihood as a consequence for me caring for my son. So I went back to my $10 an hour job cleaning for a local cleaning company. Obviously you cannot be my bills without so I made a decision, did everything I could to investigate and find out what do I do to get myself in The local company shoes. My first month on my own I made $75 I had a $25 back in from Walmart. I had no idea what I was doing but slowly I started to figure it out and I started to realize I was very good at what I did. I made lots of mistakes, I missed items, under quoted over quoted lost clients. However I refuse to give up I made myself a promise the prior year that I was going to be independent and it was a constant uphill battle to get there but nothing ever felt better in my entire life than the moment I finally was. Please understand your home my services this is not just my job, this is my livelihood and everything in my life for myself and my children are because of my clients like you. So unlike some cleaners and maybe just looking for a paycheck I am not I am looking for my life, and the lives in my family and I'm prepared each clean to make everything is perfect as possible and fight to keep your business!
