Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: One thing that I try really hard to do to set myself apart from other teachers, is to truly build my lessons around the needs and desires of the student. A one size fits all approach to teaching simply does not work. I love working with people to help them increase not just skills and abilities, but to make their lives better. Music is a really powerful thing.

Kevin has taught our 14 year old son guitar lessons weekly for a few years, and has impressed us with his knowledge of music, his ability to teach from a printed page as well as by ear, and his personal way that makes for a great lesson. He is trustworthy, reliable, and relates well with our son, who looks forward to his lessons. Kevin does a great job!

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Practice, practice practice. There is no substitute. I just finished my B.A. in music a couple of years ago.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Have a conversation with at least a couple of different people to find out how they do things. You really just need to find the right fit for your situation. Price isn't everything either.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Music Lessons only work when everyone is on the same page. Its a waste of time and energy to force a kid to take lessons if it's not something their interested in. I work really hard to make music interesting for students, but they've got to have some drive too.
