- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I worked as a produce manager for years when I was younger, but took a leap of faith to do what I love - painting.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Straight painting walls of new homes or newly purchased homes seems to be at the top of my list these days, but close behind would be mural work. I also paint older cabinets, furniture, etc. to make it look like new (or that perfect rustic look).
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure they have work you can see (brochure, website, etc). Unless you're painting new construction, most walls also need spackling and touch up work before it's even painted. I always say - '90% of the work happens before painting (prep work).'
