Introduction: I was recently hired by Music & Arts in Westboro, Ma. Living with learning disabilities I have learned to view music education from many different angles. I studied music education at Westminster Choir College. That can be helpful when showing concepts and can make it easier for the student to understand. I'm also a karaoke host in the evenings. So I use my karaoke tracks for students to sing against. that way I can concentrate on your singing technique and not playing songs on my guitar/ piano. As far as guitar/ piano goes, being a DJ helps me understand the broad spectrum of music to help craft is students style. I love most about my job is sharing my passion and understanding for music with others. That moment when a student understands a new lesson or concept. It always makes me leave the lessons with a smile on my face.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
How I decided to get into this line of work was because of my older sister. Growing up I heard her practice her violin every morning just as the sun would come up. seen what kind of joy music brought to her life started the fire for music in my soul.
What types of customers have you worked with?
As a private music teacher the most common type of jobs would be teaching a student how to read and write music. To help a student get the best sound out of the instrument. I have also helped prepare students for recitals, parts in musical theatre and auditioning for bands.
