Here at MJC Moving we understand life can be complicated. We are here to assure your move isn't. We treat all of our clients with professionalism and courtesy. Our founder, Matt Carmody, has over five years of experience in the moving industry. Within those five years he has developed a belief of how a moving company should be run. He believes moving companies should strive to promote an atmosphere where clients feel assured their belongings are in safe hands. MJC Moving enjoys the opportunity to assist clients with difficult tasks such as moving, rearranging furniture, junk removal, as well as other physically demanding necessities. Having the opportunity to provide such services to individuals lacking the ability to complete them, whether due to work, age, or various other reasons, is considered an honor by MJC Moving.

Matt was responsive and reliable, which eased my stress about moving. The MJC Moving team disassembled furniture, loaded my items, unloaded and reassembled everything in 3 hours — at a reasonable rate and on a rare sweltering day in SF. I don't plan on moving again for a while, but will certainly rehire MJC Moving when I do.

Highly recommended. Matt was professional, efficient, and skilled at moving. He was also super-strong, fast, friendly, and careful with delicate items. He knew how to safely stack items and securely carry items. He carefully placed all boxes in the locations that I’d specified, and had useful tips for me on moving metal file cabinets. He was very strong and efficient, and could carry three very heavy boxes at once, and then zip up the stairs with them! It took me two days to load the moving truck with my arm injury, and he unloaded it in just a few hours. Amazing. Highly recommended, he made my move so much easier.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes. My pricing system is a per person per hour charge. Additionally, there is a $30 fuel charge per project. If you have questions in regards to my pricing system, or would like a quote for your specific project please contact me via telephone or e-mail.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start with the bidding process. Accompanying the bid will be a brief description of my pricing system, as well as my contact information for a new customer to contact me with questions/concerns. I like to work directly with clients to determine the best pricing and logistics specific to their moving needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have five years of project management experience for two separate moving companies. I have completed moves from studio apartments to multiple bedroom residences. Furthermore, I have experience with long distance moves along the entire east coast.
