- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Rates are always based on the type of event, and duration of the event. We typically require a minimum of 4 hours because of the time invested in planning, travel to and from the event, setup and breakdown of equipment, and time spent playing music and entertaining at the event. Rates start at $75 per hour and work their way up from there. Local Children's Party (4 hours): $300 Standard DJ Package (4 hours): $400 Standard Karaoke Package (4 hours): $400 Karaoke Plus Package (4 hours): $500 Graduation Party (4 hours): $400 Baptism/Communion/Confirmation (4 hours): $400 Sweet 16 Package: $500 Basic Wedding Package: $500 - $600 Silver Wedding Package: $600 - $800 Gold Wedding Package: $800 - $1000
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I became interested in Karaoke while in college. I found it to be a fun and relaxing experience. I became discouraged by the way that some Karaoke entertainers were running their shows at bars and restaurants, favoring customers that they liked better in the rotation. I felt it should be more representative of and fun for all involved, and not just a few well-liked patrons. That is when I decided to get started as a Karaoke host for a bar where I was friends with the bartenders and manager. From there, I fell in love with Mobile DJ and Karaoke Entertainment, and the business took off.
