While I didn’t end up hiring a wedding coordinator because I work in corporate events and am a visual artist used to creative labor, I had an excellent conversation with Kaly; she was personable and knowledgeable. I could tell she knew her profession by the pointed questions she asked. I would recommend speaking with Kaly at the start of your planning process. It is very hard to do a DIY wedding with no experience in weddings. Not just the planning, but the small things most people don’t know to ask about or confirm with vendors and catering etc. My caterer didn’t bring the food we tasted! We also had a venue change and lost a deposit over a music speaker. (Btw, Kaly knew this venue!!!) Having a wedding planner would ensure quality control and documenting evidence of any mistakes and preventing them. I would definitely consider Kaly if I knew what I know now about ALL the details about doing a wedding.
