About
Thank you for visiting my page! I'm Dr. Brandon Presley and I've been tutoring and teaching for 10+ years! I specialize in Math and Science and have Ph.D. and Bachelor's Degrees in Chemistry. I am a member of the American Chemical Society as well as the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry.
I teach everything from elementary math and science to college-level math and science. I also tutor standardized test prep, including the SAT and ACT.
All of my tutoring sessions are private one-on-one lessons, giving that personal feel to learning. I am available for remote tutoring on platforms like Zoom and Skype.
I take great pride in my work and always inquire with my students as to how I can best serve them. My students always see significant improvements in their grades and confidence after working with me, and this is what makes my business thrive.

Brandon was wonderful to work with. He responded immediately to my request to help my daughter with AP Chemistry and we were able to set up a time with him the next day. My daughter was very comfortable with his teaching style and he explained the material thoroughly and clearly. My daughter will definitely be working with Brandon again and on a regular basis for tutoring.

Brandon has been great to work with. My teenage son can be difficult to work with, however Brandon has found a way to reach him and make chemistry fun. I am thankful for this experience, and hope that my son continues to progress, and develop in the field of chemistry.

My son Ben needed some extra help for his Chemistry final and Brandon replied immediately. He arrived punctually at our house and put my son at ease within minutes. Brandon was friendly, patient and very knowledgeable. Ben really benefited from Brandon’s expertise and now has the confidence to succeed in his studies. I would highly recommend him as a tutor.

We are so excited to have found Brandon!! From the beginning we knew we were in good hands. First, Brandon was so thorough in his communication - very clear in where to meet, when he’d be there, sent google calendar blocks, aligned on content of the meeting, met with me after to fill me in on what he went over with my 10 year old daughter, gave her notes of what they discussed to take home and then followed up with an email to me to summarize. It was fantastic!! Further, my daughter left feeling like she now understands decimals! She told me that Brandon made it really easy to understand, and while she loves her math teacher, it’s just harder in the classroom to get that 1:1 attention. We are so glad that we have connected with Brandon! Thank you, thank you Brandon!!

Brandon is currently working with my son in preparation for the upcoming ACT.
It was quite easy to identify his knowledge and professionalism.
Brandon followed up after each session to ensure I knew exactly what occurred during the session and what is recommended for any upcoming session. My son’s feedback after session one, would have been the deciding factor for any future sessions, so I gently ask “Should I book another session with Brandon” and my son said “Can you please book the same day & time next week”:)
If you are looking for a tutor who is professional, warm, puntual, knowledgeable and trustworthy Brandon Presley is at the top of the list.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I frequently give discounts for students who want multiple sessions, and students in college.
My fee includes my students' ability to email me questions about the topics discussed at the session for no additional charge!
Payments can be made by check, cash, Venmo, Cash App, PayPal or Square.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
During the first lesson, I like to get to know the student and get a feel for where they are in their coursework, what their specific needs are and how I can best meet those needs. We also discuss expectations on lesson frequency, preferred means of communication and ways for the student to continue learning and developing outside of the lessons.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I earned my Ph.D. and Bachelor's degrees from Temple University.
I currently work at Johnson & Johnson as a Scientist. I previously worked for 8 years at an analytical testing laboratory in suburban Philadelphia. Prior to this, I worked as a research student at Temple University for a number of years while studying for my Bachelor's degree.
I regularly attend continuing education sessions at professional science conferences and even provide the continuing education from time to time at these conferences. I have presented scientific content and collaborated both nationally as well as internationally (Brazil, Denmark, Paris, Puerto Rico, and South Korea).
