- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Not complicated, but I like to price per job. A 10000 square foot grass cut with a 1000 square foot house should not be priced the same as a 10000 square foot grass cut with a 4000 square foot home and a pool and multiple outbuildings.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
It started off when I lived in Virginia. I had a small weekend and evening landscaping company that eventually took off. I left my full time job and pursued running that company full time until deciding to move back to Pennsylvania to be closer to my family. I worked for two years as a contractor doing work on foreclosed and Real Estate Owned houses and want to get back to the residential side of things.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Lawn care and maintenance is the most common task I perform. I will do leaf removal, gutter cleaning and small/odd jobs as well. Most of the commercial work I do revolves around vacant or abandoned homes and includes some plumbing, light electrical, cleaning and boarding and lock changes.
