George designed and built the cabinets in our recently purchased 1920's row-home as well as two bathroom vanities. This home was purchased for a floor to ceiling renovation. The kitchen, due to George's design and gorgeous cabinets, is truly the showpiece of our home. Simply put, the kitchen is stunning! The quality of the cabinets is top notch with every detail customized. He worked with us to design kitchen cabinetry that met every wish and expectation. He gave us amazing ideas to improve our rough vision. He was very easy to work with, responsive, friendly and patient with us as we often took too long to make decisions. His work was often completed ahead of schedule and he worked without needing a great deal from us (which we found common with many other parts of our renovation project). Because his work on the kitchen was so wonderful we asked him to design and build bathroom vanities for our two full bathrooms. His ideas and final designs for the vanities was classic but unique. After moving in to our home we decided that it was a no-brainer who would design and build our walk-in closet for our master suite. We are currently working on that project with George. We could not be more pleased with George's ideas, designs, final product and easy to work with personality. Oh, and concerning the uncomfortable topic of price, you will find that George delivers a much better product for the price than any distributor of cabinets. Don't waste your time with online or store front retailers if you care about style and quality. Enough said.

We hired George Platt for two large furniture jobs, both of which were handled beautifully and on time (and within our predetermined budget as well).
The first job was an incredible all-white high gloss bathroom vanity and built in cabinets for our new master bath. George was able to complete it very quickly (as well as change it slightly on the fly when we altered the designs slightly) which allowed our contractor to perfectly install the vanity in short order. There were no issues whatsoever and we couldn't have been more happy with his work. It's the first thing you see when you walk into the bathroom and we are very glad we had George make it for us.
His second job was a truly "wow" dining room table and living room bar for us - both for entertaining purposes. The dining room table is made out of African bubinga with gorgeous inlays and live edges on both sides. Each time we have friends and family over they ooh and ahh over it and can't believe we were able to have it built custom for us. The same goes for a 6ft long, 4ft high African Zebra Wood bar with three shelves in each of the three individual cabinets. George doesn't use veneer (which can actually be tough to get into an apt given the weight) and again, the quality of the work and craftsmanship shows on each of his pieces.
George's work is reasonably priced for the best quality work we've experienced in terms of handcrafted furniture. As his work is so great, we can't wait to hire him for future projects.

I chose GRP Handcrafted Furniture for my kitchen and bathroom renovation project. It was a complete pleasure to work with George Platt. In addition to being an old-world style true craftsman, he is honest, fair, polite and provides good customer service (even after completion). I also found George to be very creative with his design ideas and he took the time to explain why one approach is preferable to another. He also kept my budget in mind and alerted me when I was approaching exceeding it, discussing with me how best to proceed. As he told me early on - when he builds it, he builds it to last. I recommend GRP 100%.
