Alen Melik-Adamyan

Introduction: I have over 15 years of experience as a chess coach in both, private, and group/classroom settings. As a former national scholastic chess champion and current master rated player, I am highly effective with all levels of instruction, as well as age groups. I have also coached and prepared students for local and national chess tournaments. Aside from the experience and knowledge as a competitive chess player, I am also able to help develop the unique skills required to become a successful chess player. As a currently working Licensed Mental Health Clinician, I will assist in advancing and specifically hone those skills and assets pertinent to the game of chess (i.e. emotion-regulation, thinking outside the box, winning/losing gracefully, etc.). For the time being, I am offering 45/60/90 minute chess lessons online via Zoom/Skype and chess.com.
