Introduction

My work stands out from others because this is not about earning a quick buck. This gives me the opportunity to flex some creative muscles that can get cramped in a corporate setting. What I like most about editing and writing is the chance to get to know people through a completely different channel. Writing gives me the opportunity to showcase the person I am, and helping other people write gives me the chance to get to know them!

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I went to school originally to become a nurse. After two semesters of dissecting things and almost passing out, I felt completely lost. All I had ever wanted to do was become an RN and work with kids. In my second year of college, I took a course dedicated to Jane Austen's literary works. Through this course, I learned so much about reading and writing. I learned things I would never have though to look for in the first place and that threw me headfirst into the Literary world.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My advice to a customer looking for help with writing is very simple; don't quit! It can be so frustrating when you writing is a chore that you can block yourself. It is important to set realistic goals and not to become discouraged.
