We were two brides-to-be looking for someone to do natural make-up for our September 2015 wedding. We got many different offers from Thumbtack, but Beauty Avec Sophie stuck out because of her professionalism and polite response. In addition, her photos were the best we saw; the included photos on Thumbtack show her versatility and although we needed her for wedding makeup, Sophias range of skills is vast.
Her communication has been prompt from beginning to end and always focused on providing us the best experience and service.
She accommodated our tight schedule for a trial for make-up and it was quite impressive! The best part about our make-up trial was meeting Sophia face-to-face. Sophia is a wonderful person in addition to being a talented make-up artist. Id like to point out that she can offer hair services as well and although we didnt need it, it is great that one person can offer so many things.
On the day of the wedding, Sophia traveled to us, arrived promptly, jumped right in, and got to work. We had a range of ages, skin types and requirements, the biggest of which was a natural make-up look. Sophia delivered on this request and added small things, making sure each wedding party member and each bride was comfortable with it. She brought out everyones natural beauty and made it better!
We found her prices reasonable for what we wanted and she was able to accommodate last minute wedding party members without charging an exorbitant price.
Do not hesitate to hire Sophie, you will not be disappointed.

Sofi did an absolutely amazing job with airbrushing makeup up for my sister and I on my wedding day! We received many compliments. About a month before my wedding I decided to find someone to airbrush my makeup instead of sticking to regular makeup. Sofi was so quick to respond to my thumbtack entry and we set up a trial ASAP. I was so pleased with it... Sofi arrived on time day of the wedding and did an excellent job with our makeup- couldn't be happier. She's super fun and easy going, easy to talk to and has an amazing skill... I highly recommend, do not hesitate to hire if you are looking for a makeup artist!

Sophie did my hair & makeup for an engagement photo session. She was easy to get in touch with and flexible. She arrived on time and was very professional. I loved my hair & makeup and it stayed perfect for hours despite the extremely hot temperatures. I would definitely recommend her to anyone.
