Introduction: I am a very highly trained professional . I have been training and working professionally as a singer, actor and dancer. I won my first talent competition at the age of 4. I won first in my age group and first place in the overall group. The ages were 3-early teens I believe 13 or 14 were the oldest for the children's group. I got up and sang an old Jimmy Durante song called "Inka Dinka Doo". I did a soft shoe dance routine which is basically a tap dance without tap shoes. I won first place in both my age group and first place in the overall competition. From that type in I began doing live theater , Tv commercials and shows including hosting my own show on CBS called "Kids Club" which was basically a talk show for kids on Saturday mornings back when Saturday mornings were still the time kids watched the favorite cartoons and shows. We interviewed celebrities, mostly child stars and teen idols like Boyz 2 Men for their first album, Milla Jovivich after she stopped modeling and did her first films the one in particular we interviewed her for was "Return To The Blue Lagoon and kid stars from Broadway like the kid stars from "Les Miserables". I also attended a well known acting camp called Stagedoor during the summer while filming this show ( it was on for 2 years) and we interviewed the daughter of a famous rock star. The lead singer of Aerosmith, Steven Tyler whose daughter Liv Tyler went there as well. You may recognize her name as she has become a well known actress especially "Lord Of The Ring" fans. Live played the elf princess Arwin, daughter of Elrond and lover and later wife of Aragorn the rightful king of Gondor. I also toured around the world as a child singing with a world famous boy choir, The Singing Boys Of Pennsylvania. I began studying with private voice teachers at the age of 8, started playing violin and saxophone at the same age as well. I continued to work professionally as an actor and singer throughout middle school and high school. I worked in a number of payed choirs. Continued to do commercials, film and tv and continued to work in regional payed theater as well as all school productions. I excelled in the performing arts and at 13 began to play the guitar. I attended a high school for the performing arts, where again I traveled quite a bit performing with the choir and working in exceptionally advanced plays in both middle school and HS. I also never stoped studying voice privately and began not only singing typical classical vocal repertoire and Broadway, rock and pop but as a freshman in high school both my HS choir director and vocal director and my private voice instructor believed I had the ability with more advanced training, to become an opera singer. Not just a chorus member but a lead and I was gifted with a particularly rare voice. I had the physical ability to become a dramatic tenor and possibly even a Wagnerian tenor ( the largest, highest, biggest voice part a mans voice can be). My private teacher ( a professional classical and opera singer) began teaching me the great tenor arias and began bringing me to her own teacher. He immediately suggested I begin to start studying with one of the voice teachers I worked with through college who was a regular at NYC Opera and The Met. He was not just a vocal coach or even a voice teacher he was ( is) what I am now a vocal physiologist! After high school I went to 2 different acting schools. The School For Film and Tv for a 2 year Meisner intensive while studying at my new voice studio I learned about the phonetic alphabet or IPA a very important part of singing and speaking as well as beginning to truly get the arias down for my voice part. Then I did several summer stock shows and several operas after the first 2 years all while continuing to work at this new studio and learning from the other top voice teachers in NYC comparing styles and methods. Then went back to a different acting school for another 2 year intensive this time it was The Stella Adler Conservatory. Then I went and did a bunch of touring musical theatre. Then became the tenor section leader for a very well known classical choir for a year and saved enough money to take 2 semesters of music at Kutztown University. I then went for broke on my teachers recommendation and with tons of letters of recommendation and great grades I auditioned at Julliard and was accepted there. I was there for 4 years while also studying about the anatomy of the voice and taking masts classes on how to teach voice I worked a lot more Here is a brief list of people I sang with and for Dr. Dre M and M Patti LaBelle Frank Sinatra Jr Barry Manilow Celeste Holm Michael Bolton John Poppo ( producer at quad studios NYC, produced EVERYONE including Madonna, N sync, Janet Jackson, Snoop Dog, Dr Dre, look him up online his resume is amazing) Harry Connick Jr The Village People And many, many, many others I was literally rehearsing in the same studio with a boy band Pure Platinum While Sting was in the downstairs studio filming the video for Desert Rose and in the next over ( this was S.R.O. Studios in NYC in 1999) the next studio was Janet Jackson filming the video she did the sexy stair dance getting water poured over her for the shot over and over again. I've sung black tie political events for Senators, judges, Mayors and members of congress. This is just a very small part of my work experience. I love the fact that music truly heals people and that as a performer I get to do that and as a teacher I get to teach others how to do that. I feel like God has truly blessed me and all artists
