I am a creative, flexible, and experienced Interior Decorator who has always had a passion for interior design. I believe no matter the dwelling; house, apartment, condo, or townhouse - everyone deserves a beautiful home.
It is a pleasure to help busy individuals and families create beautiful spaces from new construction homes to well-lived and cozy by using budget extending ideas like mixing new, reclaimed, and current pieces into a great design that is functional and fits their lifestyles.
In addition, I am a downsizing specialist. Downsizing can be a challenge. Knowing what to keep, where will it work best, what new pieces to add, window treatments, lighting, art, accessories and how do I get rid of what I no longer need can be overwhelming. Dee Hurford Designs can help.

Dee provided excellent advice paint colors for the three rooms that were being updated. She also had access to a wide variety of materials for window treatments.

Our project was a pretty large one - a new kitchen and family room, movement of our laundry area to another room in the house, and a bedroom improvement. We could not have done it without Dee Hurford. Dee researched contractors and found us one that was terrific. She helped to keep them on track and was a true asset when questions arose. Dee helped us choose cabinetry, counters, flooring, lighting, rugs, and coffee tables. Dee has been very helpful in getting my project completed....offering insight into interiordesign changes that I can use immediately and down the road. I selected Dee to pick paintings and ornaments/ceiling fans for my entire home as this would be very time consuming to do myself. Dee learned my taste and hobbies and was able to order and deliver tasteful & hand drawn art for the entire home. I would recommend her.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Dee Hurford Designs charges a design fee and all inclusive per room fee to include labor, materials, finishes, furniture and all other related items to complete the project.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The process starts with a phone call. The potential client(s) and I discuss the project(s) to determine if it is a good fit for both parties.
The next step is a free consultation to go over the Dee Hurford Design process.
The process consists of four phases: Conceptual, Detailed Design, Purchasing and Execution, and Project Wrap Up.
The end result is exceptional customer service and a home that the client will love.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am Certified Interior Decorator having completed a comprehensive program at Philadelphia University. I also have Masters of Business Administration
