Dan impressed me from the start with excellent communicatiion. He responded punctually, explaining fully how he could handle the garage door trim rot & vent replacement with a fair estimate. He listened fully to my needs to use my supplies, & leave the painting to me. He worked hard, through a full day in the high heat. He's a thorough, knowledgeable, and meticulous professional. Daniel did a fantastic job upgrading our laundry room. He stripped the old wallpaper, repaired the walls, painted, replace the countertop and installed all new lights and outlets. His work was top notch and he was very professional.

I cannot recommend this contractor based on my experience.
The contractor had to reschedule our original appointment, which I accommodated. When he arrived for the estimate, he informed me that he requires a 50% payment before beginning any work. I explained that I was prepared to pay in full when the work started, but I was not willing to prepay half of the project before any work had been performed.
Rather than work with me on reasonable payment terms, he chose to walk away from the job.
I understand every business can set its own policies. However, I believe requiring a 50% upfront payment before any work begins places all of the financial risk on the homeowner. That is not a business practice I am willing to accept, and I think prospective customers should know this before scheduling an estimate.

Thank you for highlighting the need to know that contractors commonly ask for deposits.
One correction; I would have been happy to do the work originally described without a deposit, but you requested a threefold increase in project labor and materials, making it a much larger project than originally requested online.
