Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Learning is a crucial, transformative, and lifelong process -- always rewarding, often exciting, and sometimes scary! I am proud to say that I try learn something new every day, teach that to someone else, and make it fun and make it count! English (both reading and writing), social sciences (history, civics, and psychology), and test prep (GED, SAT, GRE, NCE, entrance exams for higher education and public school standardized tests) are what I specialize in, but feel free to ask if there is a different area of interest you want to know more about! I provide both individual and family/couples counseling. I can teach you to dance, decorate your nursery, deal with a tired, cranky two-year-old, or how to cook a delicious meal. I'd be glad to help you organize your life or make a plan to save money. I can teach you how to do your own electrical work, build a bookshelf, or distress a piece of furniture. Finally, finding a job is a daunting task. I can help make your resume, no matter what experience you have, stand out and find you a job you actually want! If the workforce isn't ready for you, I would honestly enjoy helping you research higher education and not only help you to get accepted but also find ways of paying for school. I have endless resources to help you, and I would love to do all I can to enhance your life. I am passionate about writing, reading, and the social sciences, and I do everything I can to instill that interest and a personalized skill set into every unique individual I work with. My pricing is tailored to fit your needs and always reasonable. I am flexible, both with finances and time. If you want to work on your writing at 3:00 a.m. or need to put together a party in two hours, let me know, and we will make it happen! I've earned undergrad degrees in creative non-fiction writing, political science and gender studies from University of Pittsburgh (three degrees, four years, 3.7GPA and lots of fun), MA in Counseling and Development, and begin my Ph.D in Social Psychology this June. I use the knowledge I've gained and carried with me over the past 15 years (Literally, I still refer to my undergrad notes from class.) in order to determine how you best learn, how to meet you where you are and overcome/deal with outside barriers, and achieve more than you ever thought possible. Life is waiting; let's go get it!

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am pursuing my Ph.D in Social Psychology in order to better understand how people interact and the effects of human interconnectedness. I want to provide each individual that crosses my path with confidence, and more importantly, with a desire to learn more about the world they maneuver through.
