Roxy is amazing! She's very knowledgeable and a great teacher. I've never riden a horse before and she's extremely patient with my lack of experience. The barn is beautiful and very clean and all her horses are beautiful! I recommended anyone who is interested in taking lessons to see her!

Kelly is very knowledge in the horse world. I started taking lessons with her and didnt know how to reahy a horse for a ride. After only three months with weekly lessons, I was able to comfortably obtain a horse. She would gently correct my mistakes and she always is encouraging to me and the horse. She cares about the animals and always is watching out for their health and care. I feel I was lucky to find someone so willing, knowledgeable and flexable for lessons and on going help. If anyone would want more specifics, feel free to email me.

I have been riding at Crescendo with Kriss Phelps for over 10 years. I came to Crescendo as an adult looking to start riding again after 30+ years out of the saddle. Crescendo caters to riders of all ages and all abilities from owning your own horse and competing to lesson horses and leasing options. Lessons are offered in many disciplines, so you have the opportunity to explore many facets of riding and find your passion. I personally enjoy riding and competing in Dressage. As an adult with a demanding work schedule, I appreciate the professional manner in which Crescendo is run. I would not be able to ride and compete at the level I do without the support of the staff at Crescendo.

I have been involved with Camp Hebron and Susan Berger for 16 years. My daughter started going to horse camp at Hebron when she was 9 and loved it. She became a Wrangler in Training (WIT) and spent lots of time working with the horses and the programs. Susan is an excellent instructor and cares about the kids, the horses, and the programming. Safety is number 1 with her but also ensuring that the kids and adults not only learn to ride but learn about horse care and management. She often gets her horses from auction that were abused and rehabs them, gives them meaningful jobs and a great home. She then makes sure they all get a great retirement home. I cannot say enough about Camp Hebron and the horse program. I would not have been involved for 16 years if I didn't respect and trust them.

I have learned a ton through Rachel and improved a lot since I started riding with her 5 years ago. I tried 2 other teachers and enjoyed them, but still think Rachel has a better way of explaining not just what to do to make the horse move, but how you and the horse should both work together. I enjoy coming back every summer.

We love Walders Way Equestrian Center so much we travel 80 miles each way to train at this fantastic facility. The farm has a large indoor and large outdoor filled with professional jumper jumps which we love. Jeff Walder is a wonderful trainer he truly cares about each student and we don't feel like just a number there. He developed a individual plan for us and has brought my daughter up to pony jumper level. Jeff is a dedicated coach at horse shows. The farm offers lesson horses and ponies from beginner to advanced as well. I highly recommend Walders Way for anyone to come and train whether you are a beginner or a advanced rider.

This lady is an amazing horse person. Ellen not only can read the horse she knows what the owner needs. Ellen has helped me with my confidence in riding and trusting my new horse. I board my horse at Kings View because I know she will be getting the best personal care she could. I never worry about her being out in bad weather she always has plenty of hay and water, Ellen changed blankets all winter I never had to ask her to do anything, Ellen even fly sprays her and puts swat in her ears. Ellen is always involved in my horses care from the farrier to the chiropractor. Kings View Acres is the most peaceful family oriented barn I have ever been to. Having Abby here has been such a positive experience for us both. I can not thin k of anything Ellen could do to improve Abby's life.

We love Mandy. My daughter has taken lessons from her for the past 3 years. Mandy has taken her from a beginner rider to winning at the State 4-H Show to regional Appaloosa Breed Shows. If you are just looking for lessons or need a full Show Horse barn, Mandy can help you out.

It was very cold the day I went, so we used the indoor ring. Nice horse, well cared for and I liked Alyssa, she's young, but very knowledgable about horses. Cost of lesson is very reasonable!

About

Hi. My name is Julia, and I have been riding horses for over 10 years. I am only a high school student, but please don't let my age concern you. Horses are my life, and I have taught lessons and trained horses before. Lessons: For lessons, I charge only $5 per lesson for beginners and $10 for intermediate students. I can provide a horse/pony if needed, but it will be for $20 more. If you have your own, I will travel up to 25 miles. I have competed in everything, from hunter/jumper to gaming. I have both English and Western tacks that students may use. If you are riding for the first time, I have the supplies you need to get you started. Training: For training, the price will depend on the situation. I can come to you to train (up to 25 miles), or if you live farther away, I can recommend local places to board the horse at a low cost, and I will train the horse from that facility. I have trained every type of horse, from off-the-track thoroughbreds to those rescued from auctions. I also have experience in breaking a foal to ride. I can train anything Western, but only English flatwork. I can no longer jump due to a knee injury. I can also train to fix bad habits, such as counter-bending and spooking. I can even fix small issues, such as trailer issues. My Philosophy: * Lessons: I teach with safety as a first priority. I aim to build trust and a true bond between the horse and the rider. I work on technique and perfecting one thing before advancing to another. I aim to make lessons fun. If you wish to compete, I can train you for that, but if you just want to ride for fun, there is no pressure. * Training: I always train with a goal in mind. If I start something, I will finish it, if at all possible. I train with kind methods. I don't believe in violence. My training style is similar to that of the legendary Monty Roberts. I don't like to use force. I take small steps to reach a goal. The first thing I will do with any horse I train is "Join-Up". It is a technique, created by Monty Roberts, that will establish respect between the horse and the rider. Only after a successful "Join-Up" will I begin to work towards a training goal.

I am very calm around horses. I earn their respect. I dont "break" horses. I work with them. I make sure they trust and respect me. Which could take a while. But that depends on them and how willing they are to learn.

About

I have a talent of interpreting the behavior portrayed buy the horse while communicating the "Fix" to the rider. My attention to detail is outstanding. One of my mentors is Ginny Spooner of Huntington Beach Ca.(10 years). Ginny's son Richard is one of the best Grand Prix riders in the WORLD!

About

Growing up, my life revolved around horses. It still does! I have been riding for as long as I can remember (since I was four). I have experience in Western and dressage but mainly focus on hunter/jumper for myself. Aside from physical riding knowledge and skill, it has greatly benefited me to learn about all aspects of horses and caring for them. In teaching lessons, I have found that the more knowledge you have to offer, the more interested the client becomes in furthering his/her own understanding of the animal under them. Lessons can be customized to suit the needs of each particular rider, whether he/she be young/older, beginner/advanced, or for more therapeutic reasons, all together. In addition to teaching people how to ride, I also have pretty extensive experience when it comes to teaching the horses themselves. Reconditioning is a constant necessity. Every time you ride, you teach your horse something, whether you realize it or not. It is extremely easy for a horse to pick up bad habits overtime. By working with the horse and showing the client exercises to do on their own, general problems are easily solved. Lessons/training prices are determined by time and travel distance.
