- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Lessons are once per week, and the cost per lesson depends upon the length of the lesson -- 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes. Lessons are paid at the beginning of the month for each month. If a student cancels a lesson with less than 24 hours' notice, that lesson is charged, but I'll do my best to reschedule it. If I cancel a lesson, we'll either reschedule or that lesson will be credited toward the next month.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I have a number of approaches to teaching. The path taken depends upon the student's history and experience and my own assessment of that student's personality and learning style.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a professional musician for 40 years, so I play my instrument regularly in a variety of settings. I have taught privately for 20 years and stay current with teaching methods, materials, and philosophies.
