Introduction: Positive teaching techniques are employed! Dogs/puppies are NEVER yelled at, and any negative behavior a dog may have is never pointed out as something that should be avoided, as dogs have emotions, too! Meeting all of the dogs and their humans, and interacting with the dogs, because I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE dogs. That is why I chose this profession. It is a great feeling to be able to praise a dog for a job well done!

We had adopted an older german shepherd who seemed sweet and we figured we'd just let her live out her life in our nice little home. Unfortunately, very quickly we found that she was food aggressive and would suddenly snap at us and anyone we came in contact with, for no apparent reason. Within 15 minutes of meeting our Mattie, Jodi informed us she was deaf! The shelter hadn't known that, and of course, neither had we. Once she had identified Mattie's hearing problem, and after she had been been seen by our vet, to rule out any other medical issues, Jodi began re-teaching her & us, good manner using hand motion signals. Jodi even suggested a harness that Mattie could wear during walks that was printed with her name & would warn folks that she couldn't hear and to ask before petting! What a difference! Now she is a favorite among our neighborhood since everyone makes sure they treat her appropriately. Jodi also taught us tactics to reduce her food agression and it is a rare day that she exhibits anything but perfect manners! Thanks Jodi.

My husband unexpectedly brought home a pup he found on the street. Our vet thought he was about 9 months old, probably a beagle mix of some sort. "Frank" had jumped on everyone, chewed up the legs of our dining room table, and we couldn't seem to get him to walk nicely on a leash - he was pulling me down the street. This went on for a month or two until a friend referred me to Jodi, and we will be forever thankful! She spent the first visit getting ALOT of information, and then set up a plan to deal with helping us and Frank get through the rest of his "teenage" energy and how to use what we learned to make him, and us, much happier. He now walks on leash with no pulling, he has been "crate" trained, so when he is tired he retreats into his "cave", and the exercise we give him keeps him more calm and less likely to look at my furniture as his personal teething ring! Thanks Jodi, job well done.

Thank you Jodi for your fantastic work with Tubby, our 5 year old, neurotic bulldog mix. I didn't realize old dogs COULD learn new tricks, but turns out Jodi was able to change Tubby's point of view of walking on leash - I am NOT being pulled across the street now; sitting politely at the door, rather than trying to knock down all our visitors and actually listening and obeying commands. Having her come to my apartment made it even better so she could see him in his daily surroundings! Would recommend Jodi anytime.

Was looking for someone to help with my son's puppy and was given Jodi's name - so thankful to have her teach us what to do - this is our first puppy, Viktor and needed to know everything from housebreaking, leash walking, sit, stay, to being comfortable in his crate. Jodi spent time going over our weekly training plans and was available by phone for questions that came up. Thanks for all your help.
