They were the first contractor to arrive, within 2 hours of contacting them. The problem was quickly diagnosed as a burnt out capacitor. He had the part in his truck and quoted me a price of $325 to complete the repair which I agreed to. I later learned that the part cost $25 and a typical repair can cost anywhere from $90-375, so the cost was at the high end of the scale. Other than that, I was very satisfied with the service.

Our pricing is based on industry standards and capacitors come in hundreds of sizes which range from $15.00-$75.00. The price guide also factors in flat rate labor fees, for we do not charge hourly. Although I did not end up using them yet, I appreciated the professionalism when speaking with them and their follow up on the job. Their price for oil furnace maintenance was within range of competitors.

We offer a $58.00 diagnostic fee. The $58.00 diagnostic fee is waived when you opt to have the repair done. We offer FREE ESTIMATES for replacing existing heating & cooling systems. Energy-Star Services offers discounts and specials. Visit our website to view specials.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Energy-Star Services has a full office staff and you will get an immediate response. Once we receive your message we'll respond via chat. Our office staff will contact you to schedule a time and day for service. Our scheduling window is usually 3-4 hours. For example, your window could be between 1-4 p.m. Although we make every effort to accommodate specific time requests if possible. Our technician will give a courtesy call to let you know they're on their way for your convenience.
