We recently purchased an older home and discovered that the water heater needed to be replaced. My husband was also concerned about the condition of the furnace, thinking it might need to be replaced as well. We scheduled a free estimate with Shepherd HVAC, and the owner, Arthur, along with his partner, came out to assess the situation. From the start, they were professional, knowledgeable, and honest. After a thorough inspection, they assured us that the furnace was in good working condition and did not need to be replaced — something we really appreciated given how many companies might have pushed for unnecessary work. Instead, they recommended installing central air and improving the ductwork in our laundry room for better efficiency. Their proposal was clear, practical, and came with a very competitive price. We decided to move forward with their offer, and we’re so glad we did! Their installation team was incredibly professional, detail-oriented, and respectful of our home. They took the time to ensure everything was done right and cleaned up thoroughly afterward. It’s rare to find contractors who combine great craftsmanship with such high levels of professionalism.
