I am so happy that I found this studio. The "Perfect Workout" is the Super Slow High Intensity strength training method. The results are amazing - building muscle, reducing body fat percentage and building bone strength - and you only have to commit to one or two 20 minute sessions a week. The sessions are private and the personal trainers are all fabulous and essential to success. After 6 months of training I have visible results, and my body fat is down 5%. I believe that everyone who tries this will have success like they've never had before - and at any age.

I don't write online reviews so this is out of character for me but I have been so impressed by The Perfect Workout that I wanted to write a little about my experience with them.After too many years at a desk job I had become overweight and out of shape and I was slowly but steadily moving toward the pre-diabetic danger zone. After turning 50 last year I decided that it was now or never for taking control of my health. After hearing a radio ad and learning that a location opened nearby, I signed up for a "learning session" at the Huntingdon Valley studio. I saw (or more precisely "felt") the benefit right away and quickly signed up for a 6 month package. When that was over, I was happy enough with my progress that I renewed for another year and set new goals. I can honestly say that after 15 months (and counting) The Perfect Workout has completely changed my life. At 51 I'm now in the best shape I've ever been in and, in conjunction with a much healthier diet, I have dropped significant weight. The only downside is that I had to buy an entirely new wardrobe :-)The Perfect Workout advertises a slow motion, high intensity, full body, strength training workout that can be completed in only 20 minutes once or twice a week and that is the absolute truth. But don't let the minimal time commitment fool you. It IS a workout and you will work HARD for that 20 minutes. Your trainer will push and challenge you but ultimately YOU have to put the effort in. As with anything, you'll only get out of it what you put into it. If you make the effort, it is very effective and well worth it.The trainers are highly skilled, help you set attainable goals, and track your progress. And while they motivate and push you to your limit, the workout is slow and safe and you will never be put in a position where you could hurt yourself. In fact, if you have any health issues or injuries they will work with you to develop a safe, but effective routine customized to your needs. For example I've been dealing with a lower back issue recently so we've modified some of the exercises or substituted different ones to minimize stress on the back while I'm on the mend. I'm still getting a great workout and my back is recovering nicely. It's this sort of one on one attention that separates personal training from your average gym membership.I have worked with several trainers during my time at Huntingdon Valley and they have all been the nicest people you could meet. They receive the same training and your workout routine and machine settings are centrally tracked so working with a different trainer from time to time is no problem at all. My primary trainer Ashley is an absolute gem and I feel like a better person for having worked with her. She is kind, funny, and knows her stuff but she pulls absolutely no punches when it comes to making sure you push yourself and get a good workout. So while there has been a lot of laughter along the way, there have been a few tears as well as breakthroughs have been made and goals have been surpassed. Having a trainer by your side that you trust implicitly makes all the difference.You won't find any loud music, TV's, or smoothie bars but what you will find is 100% personal attention and a great, quick workout in a private environment. If this appeals to you I can't recommend The Perfect Workout highly enough.

I am so grateful that I found The Perfect Workout! I have always tried to stay active and in shape by running, hiking, and playing different sports. However, I always felt like strength training was missing from my workout regimen. I tried other forms of strength training, but eventually had to stop doing them because of different injuries. The Perfect Workout has given me an incredible way to tone up and strengthen up my weak joints without irritating any old injuries! I have been doing this program for 4 months now, and am starting to see abs and arm muscles for the first time in my life! I have also improved my running times, and feel like my knees, hips, and ankles are much stronger than ever before! I will never stop doing The Perfect Workout because I can't imagine going back to a life without it. Every single person in this company, from the trainers to the managers, are the nicest people you will ever meet as well! Give it a try, you will not regret it!

I can't say enough about my experience since I have started doing the training at The Perfect Workout. I have been into fitness for most of my life, but never tried anything like slow-motion strength training. This has helped me in so many ways. I am absolutely stronger, leaner, more defined...and my husband and kids all noticed when we were at the beach this summer!! I also have not been injured since I have started exercising at The Perfect Workout, which is really significant. I usually end up hurting myself trying new exercises because I have a history of neck injuries from when I was a teenager. The trainers, environment, and machines keep me safe and in proper form to do the exercises correctly, working the right muscles. Everyone is encouraging, positive, honest, and exceptional! I love my time there, especially love the time I save with my two, twenty-minute workouts per week, and always tell all my friends that this is the best workout for their overall fitness!

My overall experience here at TPW has been nothing more than amazing! Not only is it fast, but the progress I continue to make is exciting. The workout is geared towards my goals and any limitations I may have, making minor adjustments so I can engage all my muscles effectively. You can feel the passion that the trainers have for what they do. It isn't just a workout for me, it's an overall lifestyle from exercise to nutrition to mental/emotional well-being. I recommend anyone who hasn't tried or hesitant to, DO IT! You will not be disappointed.
