Renjie is patient & encouraging. Great personality, and a perfect match for my kids. He helped increase both of their ACT scores, which also carried over into improving their GPAs. He is also very dedicated, working around busy high schoolers schedules.
Renjie also tutored my 7th Grader in Math. She was struggling half way through the year, and after a few sessions with him, there was a huge improvement. Her teacher commented on her progress and her grades increased dramatically. She continued to work with him throughout the school year and looked forward to her sessions, as he calmed any anxiety she had before tests and with tough homework.

Renjie and I worked together over the course of two months in preparation for a GRE test. We had long sessions (3 hours) each time, but Renjie was focused and prepared and all the breaks we took were on my account. I took two Statistics courses in university, but aside from this hadn't taken any math classes since high school, so I focused all of my hours with Renjie in math. He has all of the hard skills that a good teacher/tutor needs: he has a deep knowledge of math and used repertoire of teaching strategies to help me learn. The teaching and learning strategies Renjie shared with me in math make it so I'm confident in saying I know he has the same skills for verbal reasoning in the GRE (specially) or vocabulary more generally. More than this, Renjie is kind, understanding, friendly, and easy to connect with. Both Renjie and I had traveled and worked abroad for a number of years and so it was fun to share stories in between problem solving. I got accepted into my graduate program of choice, got a full scholarship and a stipend to be a Graduate Teaching Assistance. It was a pleasure working with Renjie and I would recommend him to any who have an interest in improving their scores on a variety on tests, or to improve their performance in school at all levels.

Renjie was AMAZING and so helpful!!!! Renjie worked with me for a few months studying for Quantitative GRE. He was so kind and made learning math concepts easy. I have already recommended Renjie as a tutor for friends that are about to take the test. I learned so much from Renjie, I would use him again in an instant. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Hourly rates vary by service and are posted on my website. Packages of hours are available at 2.5–10% off for ongoing tutoring.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, I talk with clients on the phone to discuss goals, diagnostics, timeframes, study plans, etc. Then, we go ahead and schedule an initial session or even assign a weekly time slot for ongoing tutoring.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a licensed teacher in Illinois and have 10 years of classroom teaching experience in Math, Social Studies, and Physics.
