Chris has honestly changed my life. I don't even know where to begin with how positive my experience has been, but I'll try. First of all, I am in the best shape I've ever been, and that is because of how Chris comes each day with well prepared routines for me to work through. Secondly, during these routines, he coaches me through them and doesn't let me quit on myself (as long as its safe to keep pushing, of course). He understands my goals and also my personality, and he uses both my physical and mental strengths and weaknesses to create a well rounded program for me and keep me motivated through it. I feel like his ability to understand my mentality and personality are what sets him apart from other trainers, because he's not just making me go through all the usual sets and reps, or just spewing generalized information--with his wealth of knowledge he actually makes my workouts personalized to me and where I am mentally and physically in this journey, and he keeps finding ways to keep me going through each workout and also through my life. I also want to say that Chris is also a very safe and cognizant trainer. You think all trainers would be like this, but that hasn't always been my experience. I have a weird shoulder pain thing that comes and goes, and Chris has been able to address that safely while also still pushing me as far as I've been wanting to go. He also started off our very first session with a very comprehensive fitness test/survey (I know there is an actual term for this but I can't think of it right now) so he knew exactly what he was working with and what we were starting from. I've actually had a trainer that didn't even do this........ yeah. I have a new found confidence in myself, and I really owe that to Chris. I was trying for a long time to get it on my own and it didn't happen. Last but not least, not only is Chris an excellent trainer, but he is also a stand up guy and a good person. With my training schedule, I honestly see him more often and regularly than I see my friends, and if that's how it's going to be, you're going to want your trainer to be someone you genuinely like and like to be around. I have been fortunate enough to personally train with Chris, as well as attend group fitness classes under his instruction, for over a year now, and a five star review just doesn’t do his practice justice. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I offer a variety of services that may differ from typical one-on-one personal training. When we figure out your daily patterns, what you need to succeed, we will have a better idea of what it will take to get you where you want to be. I'm very understanding, open to talk about affordable prices, we will work together to find a way to help you!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?We can start with text, e-mail or phone call. We will discuss what services you are looking for. Everyone gets a free 30 minute Health and Fitness Consultation and a free 60 minute Health Assesment and Movement Screen. This can be done in person or through webcam, then we decide on appropriate membership type.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have a Bachelor of Science: Exercise Science degree from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. I was previously a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Currently pursuing a Functional Movement Systems certification. CPR/AED certified. cyfit, LLC is fully insured.
