What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Unfortunately in this line of work, the pricing always depends on the job. So many different variables can play a part in how they are priced. Access to the stump, above a hillside I have to crane the grinder up on, if you would like removal of the grindings, if you would like topsoil and grass seed. All of these play a part in pricing but I am pretty well prepared for all jobs and always try and provide the best prices!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Every job is different and always a new challenge, we first set up a time and date that works for the customer. Then we stop out and access the job and make a plan, then provide a written estimate. If accepted, we then plan which day would work best for the work that needs completed.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I previously owned a tree service for 5 years and stump grinding was always added on to the trees we removed.
