Introduction

I love to see the joy on a students face when they realize they just learned how to play a beat, rhythm, or rudiment. I remember feeling this myself when I was first learning how to play. It is my pleasure to teach what I have been taught, to pass on the joy of drumming! The smiles on my students faces and the excitement and enthusiasm they show towards drumming is what I enjoy most about my job.

My son has been going for drum lessons to Dan for about 5 months now. Dan is a good teacher. He is very patient and encouraging and Dan has been able to help my son with his love for drumming. His hand and foot coordination is getting better and he is always looking forward to drum classes. Dan is a professional and easy to work with, fun and punctual. He makes his class a learning experience without compromising on the enjoyment.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Not complicated, I charge $40.00/hr. My lessons are 1 hour long.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I try to get a feel for where the student is at skill wise and teach them a technique or exercise that will immediately help them improve as a drummer overall. Also, I want to know what they are passionate about and spend some time fueling that fire! If a student wants to learn how to play blues for example we will move in that direction and learn how to play slow or fast blues etc.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 400 gigs under my belt! I have experience playing a variety of styles including 50's to current rock n roll and pop, standard blues, original metal and rock, free jamming and improvisation, as well as playing in odd time signatures.
