Explained the problem to him, he asked a few questions and offered some things to try. One worked and TV is working again. He said to call if it returned and he would do further trouble shooting.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I enjoy the satisfaction of troubleshooting and repairing something that is broken and the smile when the customer has their possession back and working. I have repaired almost every household product; even repairing specific parts that most repair people would just replace at a much higher cost.
