I loved everything about BBK! Chris, the kareoke jockey, is an amazing musical encyclopedia. His energy is soulful and easy to connect with. We all felt really comfortable and inspired to let go and sing! His voice is truly amazing :) he sounds like Ray Charles. And he was nice enough to let us sing first so we didn't get shy going after such a star!
It felt amazing to let go and not feel the pressure to sing perfectly, just to enjoy and join in with our favorite tunes.
The quality of the book itself was off the charts! I couldn't believe the selections that were available. Classics across all genres and some rarities that I never see in other books. Usually it's pretty top 40 but BBK really has an amazing list of songs. They also provided a laminent list of tracks that suggested songs based on group songs, individual, duos etc and that was really helpful. We didn't even have to graze through the big book because those selections were already there and they were awesome songs! And then when we did want to find something specific it was always available in the Big book.
Overall it was an amazing experience, very professional. They came with all the lights, two screens and an amazing sound system. They set up right in our backyard!
I would recommend BBK to both bars or private events, you will not be disappointed.

Simply the best full-service karaoke in the area! Chris Cross is a delight. We have retained Chris several times for both small and large scale karaoke events, and have thoroughly enjoyed every moment. He comes fully prepared with equipment, staging, ambiance, and most importantly the right music and lyrics for the specific audience. His service is top-notch, and if you’re lucky, he may even sing for you! It honestly doesn’t get better than this. Thank you Chris!

I heard Chris sing several years ago when he was a member of Heartstrings Bridge & immediately became a fan. His wonderful talent, unbridled energy & commanding presence is absolutely mesmerizing. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. Client Consultation- to discern the "flow of the event and insure a smooth coordination of musical entertainment and other event activities. Discern any particular music themes, special requests, etc.
2. Venue walk thru to discern it's technical characteristics specific to equioment setup (power source(s), # & location of electrical outlets, WiFi availability and space dimensions). Attention to details is the mother of a great entertainment experience!
3. Contract: Once we reach a clear understanding of services requested and provided, we prepare and execute an entertainment contract for signature and payment prior to the event.
4. Provide our client with a link for a written review of our service.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
BA from Pmona College, Claremont CA.,MA from Stanford Univeraity, Palo Alto CA.
I taught at the Community College for five years and also engaged in a fair amount of community theatre. That plus an abundance of sales & marketing training while working at various lending institutions have given me the polish to match my natural talent for engaging and entertaining people.
Music lessons, of course! Technical skills, all self taught bc I love doing what I do. I rehearse everyday and I read something about marketing, tech and or music everyday. Music is my love and I pursue it accordingly!
