FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Quotes are $20 for a half hour lesson and $30 for an hour, however traveling distance will be considered in quoting a lesson price if the student chooses to travel to my home for the lesson. Sometimes students prefer a 45 minute lesson in which the price would be $25.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once I see your request and reach out to you with a quote, I will usually follow up with a call within 48 hours of your request to see if you are still interested in taking lessons. If so, I'd love to chat with you about your goals and what kind of music you want to learn. From there, I will discuss and recommend lesson materials or sheet music that can usually be obtained online.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As a recent graduate of the Greatbatch School of Music at Houghton College, NY, I have studied classical music and church music with a distinguished Steinway Artist and published hymn arranger. Much of my approach will be a reflection of the things I have learned from these conservatory-quality professors.
