Hired on Thumbtack

Tom Keefe came out for estimates. Then said he couldn't put an estimate on the thumbtack site- and asked me to e-mail him instead. He said the quotes would be done Monday night at the latest. I told him I needed them by Monday morning at the latest. I e-mailed him and he claims he can't find the e-mail. So over the phone I asked him to send me the quotes and I would give him my e-mail address. "Well the quotes aren't ready. I'm doing other office work. -Payroll and other things" he said. I told him I felt my jobs must not be a priority to him, as we met on a Tuesday afternoon and quotes were still not delivered by the following Monday morning. He said "that's fine" then hung up on me. I do not recommend.

Amy was told when on site she would have her quotes by early next week. She decided when speaking to me on the phone that because her job was not a priority to my company, then maybe we should just forget her job. This would be after she told me in a thumbtack conversation this AM that she would like a quote on another apartment for interior paint, as well as exterior painting. She conveys to me on the phone she is confused why I would need to come back and do more measurements. As Amy stated she was told she would have her quote by Monday Night as stated last Tuesday, She decided she had to have them within the hour. I found her e-mail in the junk mail. I use a estimating program called Home Tech Advantage. It is a reliable estimating program that can be set for any location in the United States. It is a good baseline too work with but it is not always the final figure. All jobs have their own requirements.
